Aviv Wellness by JinJin Huang

JinJin was the 2022 ANDZY Award winner. "Aviv Wellness" is an adaptive reuse and non-profit health center designed in Long Beach. Her design focuses on the faculty providing health services to the community while utilizing Salutogenic design, a design strategy focused on improving human health and well-being in a built environment. 

"Obtaining and maintaining good health is essential to living a happy ad meaningful life," Huang said in her design statement. "By optimizing people's physical, mental, and spiritual states, we can help people achieve their full potential, encompassing every stage of life."

URBAN CULTURAL OASIS by Shu Yee Chin

Shu Yee accomplished College of arts and humanities honor student, a semi-finalist in the National ASID Student Portfolio Competition, and the 2021 Distinguished International Student for Fresno State University. Shu Yee has most recently been hired by HLW International LLP, Santa Monica, as a Junior Interior Designer.

CRESENT WETLANDS MUSEUM by Alex Tsung

Alex is the 2021 ANDZY Award winner in the student category. Her design focuses on sustainability and the restoration of Louisiana's coastal wetlands, while providing flood protection and wildlife conservation. Alex was commended for the uniqueness of her work and the overall mission of her project.

The Crescent Wetlands Museum located in New Orleans, LA aims to educate and set in motion community action to restore and protect Louisiana’s coastal wetlands. The Crescent supports the Golden Triangle Marsh Creation Project, which will not only revive estuarine habitats for native wildlife but will also create a protective flood buffer on the Gulf Coast that supports the existing levee systems in the wake of climate change.
